I love cooking and baking, but I am not an innovator when it comes to food. I have lots of cookbooks, and most of the recipes on my site come from other sources. I will obviously do my best to reference those sources when I can.

The incredibly talented people who generate and test recipes have theoretically put in the time to make sure those recipes are ready to go for the home cook, like me. They deserve the credit for those recipes. Having said that, all I do on this site is try the recipes that look good to me and share my thoughts. I will make a recipe exactly as stated the first time, and I’ll share my thoughts on what I would do differently next time.

Cooking and baking are fun to me, but I want things to come out correctly the first time. I don’t like the trial and error of testing recipes.

I believe that reading helps us grow and experience things we wouldn’t otherwise be able to experience. Although I do occasionally read physical books, I primarily listen to audiobooks or read e-books. I highly recommend the Libby app for e-books and audiobooks.

I have been blessed to be able to visit many places in this world, and even to live overseas for a few years.
